Registered sex offender gets 20 years for receiving child porn

A Joplin registered sex offender is sentenced for receiving child pornography over the Internet.

Brandy Hertl, 31, is sentenced to 20 years in prison without parole, the maximum sentence for that crime.

Hertl was arrested in May during a sex offender compliance round-up after he was caught in his van downloading child pornography files onto his laptop.

Hertl was convicted of indecent liberties with a three-year-old girl in 2009.
