There's been long waiting lines at several voting places. Some Four State poll workers say it's been non-stop ever since voting began this morning.
Things seem very organized and voters tell us that's helping out the situation greatly.
At one Joplin precinct, at noon they had 710 voters and residents in line told us they had been waiting for 40 minutes. By 2 p.m., a little more than 1,000 votes had been cast and the waiting time had gone down to an average of about 20 minutes.
People tell us they would've stayed in line no matter how long of a wait because of some key issues, including the economy and military.
Some residents told us if the line had been longer, they would've stayed or come back later.
"It's our duty to vote and I feel strongly about some of the things we're voting on," says Sheila Selbe.
All seemed happy so many people were showing up to cast a ballot.
Even tough the wait times have been long, voters say they notice lines are consistently moving which eases frustration.
