Pittsburg middle school collecting donations for east coast recovery

Pittsburg Community Middle School Cares is collecting donations to help the east coast recover from Superstorm Sandy and its aftermath.

Donations will be accepted from Friday November 9 through Monday November 19 at the school and TH Rogers at 1701 North Broadway.

Donations needed include:

• Utility knives
• Box Stanley blades
• Brooms of any kind
• Heavy duty plastic trash cans
• Trash bags
• Hammers
• 3 lb. sledge hammers
• Waterproof work gloves
• Cleaning supplies of any kind
• Large zip ties
• Colored duct tape
• Heavy duty extension cords
• Work lights
• Mold X
• Emergen - C vitamin packs
• Toilet paper
• Screwdrivers
• Power strips
• AA/AAA batteries
• Go-Jo soap
• Chalk line
• Tape measures
• Plastic bins for packing
• Paper towels
• Plastic tubs for cleaning
• Rakes
• Wrenches
• Channel locks
• Wheelbarrows
• Rubber gloves

Used tools in good condition will be accepted.
