One injured in train versus truck accident

Nathanael Sampson, 69 of Seneca, was airlifted to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin after he drove into the path of an oncoming train in Newton County, Missouri.

The collision occurred at about 10 a.m. on Monday one mile east of Racine, Missouri on Falcon Road.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says there is a crossbuck warning sign at crossing.

Newton County Sheriff's Office and Missouri Highway Patrol are working the accident.

The MHP crash report lists Simpson as having "serious" injuries.  We are waiting for an update on his condition.
