Mini Phyllo Fruit Turnovers
5 oz. jelly/jam OR 1 apple or pear and 1 tsp flour
3 sheets phyllo dough
2 tbs butter OR 1 beaten egg
If using fruit, combine diced fruit, flour, and any desired spices in separate bowl.
Cut stack of phyllo sheets into four equal strips.
Brush a strip of the phyllo dough with melted butter or a beaten egg. Place another strip of dough on top, and repeat. Place a third strip of dough on top and do not spread.
Put 1/4 of the filling one inch from end of the stack of strips. Fold the filling over at a 45 degree angle to form a triangle. Continue folding until the stack is exhausted. Repeat process three more times.
Brush the tops of each triangle with melted butter/beaten egg, and place on non-stick baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes (if using jam/jelly filling) or 15 minutes (if using fresh fruit).
