$500,000 raised for Pittsburg State scholarships

A construction scholarship at Pittsburg State reaches a fundraising mile marker.

The Pittsburg State Construction Alumni Association has raised $500,000 for scholarships to help offset the cost of an education.

In 1988 the organization started with $200 for a student scholarship.  To date the group has given more than $300,000 to students majoring or minoring in construction.
