The Neosho School District hosted it's 13th Annual Senior Citizen Appreciation Banquet on Friday.
The celebration was held at Neosho Middle School with high school students serving turkey, dressing and all the traditional Thanksgiving food prepared by the food service department.
There was also music, art displays and special treats for each senior citizen in attendance.
Organizers say it's important to show seniors what's going on in the school district.
"It's good for them to see what we do and the pride that we take in our school and our community," says student body president Colby Blair. "I think its definitely very important that they know as key members of our community what we do and how we do things."
Each year the banquet attracts between 800 and 1,000 seniors.
