Benefit Dinner for Linda Nelson-Zook

Updated:

The west Mineral, Kansas Eagles Club hosts a benefit dinner and dessert auction for a friend who passed away from cancer this month.

The benefit was the raise money in honor of Linda Nelson-Zook who passed away of stage 4 lung cancer on November 2nd. Music and food cost $8.00.

Without insurance, Linda's outstanding medical bills were passed on to her family.

"We had a benefit for mom when she was still here in Columbus and tons of people showed up for that also and just to see them coming here now even though she's not with us it just really shows how communities stick together and how my mom was really loved" says Amanda Perry, daughter of Linda.

"We're having this benefit dinner for Linda who is known by many and she passed away-stage 4 cancer and we just thought we would just try to help the family with outstanding medical bills because she didn't have insurance" says Anita Perry.

More than thirty came to event to listen to music and eat dinner in honor of Linda.
