Some volunteers in Carthage worked to fill the bellies of some area residents on Thanksgiving afternoon.
It was the Carthage Crisis Centers 8th annual Thanksgiving Day family dinner and featured all the fixings.
The dinner was free and open to anyone needing a place to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Transportation to the dinner was also offered.
"There's a sense of community that comes when people come together for a dinner like this and we want to encourage that," says organizer Marilyn Bisbee.
This was just one of many Thanksgiving community dinners in the Four State area on Thursday.
