Posted November 24, 2012 at 5:42 PM CST:  Pittsburg police search for clues of a missing man in Wilderness Park in Frontenac, Kansas.

Police officials say they are searching for an adult male who possibly fell into an old mining pit at Wilderness Park in Frontenac. The mining pit is filled with water and divers were brought in to conduct a underwater search.

Pittsburg police have closed the park until further notice.

"Anytime anybody has water or anything like, we'll have divers or boats to be able to search the area better than we can from just the banks," said Sgt Chris Moore with the Pittsburg Police Department.

The search remains ongoing.
