Melisser Elliott, a 12 year veteran of the beauty industry has joined Hip Apotheca as the Marketing Manager.

Hip Apotheca is delighted to announce that Melisser Elliott has joined the team as Marketing Manager.

Melisser brings forth over 12 years of industry experience as a Professional Makeup Artist and Esthetician. Over the span of the last decade, Melisser's work has graced the pages of Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, People, and GQ, has been seen on TLC’s “What Not to Wear”, and the runways of New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Her love for animals and the environment eventually led her to go vegan and revamp her makeup kit to contain only animal and earth conscious products. Unable to find the information she desired to build a cruelty free makeup kit fit for a professional, she embarked on a journey emailing companies and testing cosmetics (on humans!) to find the perfect products for all.

When asked about her new role as Marketing Manager, Melisser said, "As the top destination for the best natural and organic beauty products, I can think of no better place to use my industry experience, than with the team at Hip Apotheca.".

Melisser is also the author of the book, "The Vegan Girl’s Guide to Life" and the voice behind award winning blogs Cruelty Free Face and The Urban Housewife. When she’s not dabbling with new products for Hip Apotheca, she is hanging out wither her pint sized rescue pup, Strummer.
