The Rotary Club of Joplin presented a $15,000 check to the Community Clinic at Twin Hills Country Club today. The money was raised from the Community Clinic Gold Scramble in May.
The clinic provides free care for those in need and is funded completely by foundation grants and community support.
"It makes me feel so good, the Rotary here in town is so engaged in supporting our community, it makes me feel honored that they would do this again and again," says Barbie Hilton of the Community Clinic.
The clinic treats almost 700 patients each month. Last year the facility received almost 1,000 new patients, not counting the May 22nd tornado patients.
