Historic Carthage homes tour offers tour of past

Carthage Historic Preservation, Inc gives a nod to Christmas' past in its annual Christmas homes tour. The tour features a look into seven beautifully decorated homes never before open to the public.

All homes have a special place in Carthage history and were built between 1880 and 1920. The tour cost  fifteen dollars prior or twenty dollars the day of and all proceeds go toward Carthage Historic Preservation, Inc and ran from 10 AM to 4 PM.

"It's an experience, and history, there is a lot of history behind these older houses, it's really awesome to listen to some of the people tell about the history of the, and read about the history entailed into the houses and stuff the event also included a ten dollar high tea at the historic 1895 Phelps House," said two participants, Cammie Nagel and Mary Meyer.
