16 year old killed in hunting accident

There was a tragic shooting accident in Neosho County, Kansas on Tuesday at about 6:30 p.m.

Authorities say while out hunting Jake Galemore, 16, slipped on a pond dam just east of Chanute on 220th Road.

According to investigators when Galemore fell his gun discharged.

The 16-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
