
Missouri has the lowest average gas prices in the nation. That's according to AAA.
The average across Missouri is $3.11. In Southwest Missouri, prices are as low as $2.96 a gallon.
Four State residents topping off their car's tank today say the low prices are more than welcome.
"We drive a big van and so we just burn through gas," says Oronogo resident Emily Yorke. "We probably spend $1,000 a month in gas and so I called my mom just to tell her that gas was under $3 this morning."
The highest gas prices in the country this week are in Hawaii, where a regular unleaded gallon of gas costs an average of $4.04.
