Five families in Joplin have new homes for shelter from today's rain and whatever else may come in the future.
The Habitat for Humanity homes were part of the Governor's Challenge, built with the help of sport teams of Missouri.
One of the homeowners says she's grateful for everyone's generous help.
"It's a process - we've had a lot of help from the Mizzou players coming down.," says homeowner Melinda Underwood. "They've been down four times to help us. They started with nothing, just a bare lot, and now we're moved in, ready for Christmas."
The Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity has built 38 houses since last year's tornado. Another 33 homes are still under construction.
