Surveillance photo released of possible home invasion suspect

Updated:

Authorities have released a photo of one of the men suspected in a violent home invasion.

It happened in the 6000 block of Raccoon Road in rural Newton County, Missouri.

Investigators say a family of four was awakened at 2 a.m. by a banging on their front door.  Then four men burst in, carrying guns.

The men pistol whipped the father, seeking money and drugs, before the family eventually escaped through a back door.

Authorities today released a surveillance image taken near the crime scene.  They say the man pictured might be one of the invaders.

Investigators think the four men might have been targeting a different home, but went to the wrong address.

Police say no one was seriously injured.
