An Independence, Kansas man is hospitalized after suffering a gunshot wound during a home invasion this morning.

According to a police report two or three suspects forced their way into a home on North 16th Street and shot Anthony Trallup, 36, in the leg.

Trallup's mother was also in the home and ran across the street to call police.
