
An Independence, Kansas man is hospitalized after suffering a gunshot wound during a home invasion this morning.
According to a police report two or three suspects forced their way into a home on North 16th Street and shot Anthony Trallup, 36, in the leg.
Trallup's mother was also in the home and ran across the street to call police.
Authorities say the assailants were acquaintances with the victim.
"We're trying to locate suspects at this time and the victim is in good condition at the hospital," says Independence Police Chief Harry Smith.
Authorities say they have identified one suspect.
