Brown Named to AFCA Division II Coaches All-America Team

WACO, Texas — Pittsburg State University junior wide receiver John Brown was named to the 2012 AFCA NCAA Division II Coaches All-America Team today (Dec. 10).

Brown (5-11, 171) caught 63 passes for 973 yards (15.4 ypc, 97.3 ypg) and eight touchdowns on the season for the Gorillas. The Homestead, Fla., native compiled 2,000 all-purpose yards, leading the MIAA and ranking second nationally in that category. He rushed the ball 13 times for 202 yards (15.5 ypc) and a score. Brown also averaged 24.7 yards on kickoff returns and ranked eighth nationally in punt returns (15.4 ypc).
