For some 12-12-12 is just another day - but they're not turning 12

Liz Truelove of Carl Junction and Brooklyn Sheehy of Fort Scott both celebrated their 12th birthday's on 12-12-12 with friends and family.

Truelove celebrated the special day with a party at Carl Junction Middle School with lots of friends, cupcakes and drinks.

Sheehy is a student at Fort Scott Middle School and celebrated her special day with friends and family at Pizza Hut off Highway 69.

Both girls say it's cool to turn 12 on 12-12-12.

"It's pretty special," says Sheehy's mom, Crystal Patterson.  "This doesn't get to happen to very many people and it's a special day for her and so I'm very excited for her."
