Crowder trustees waive out of state tuition

Updated:

From the Director of Public Information at Crowder College:

NEOSHO, MO - The Crowder College Board of Trustees voted to  eliminate out-of-state tuition starting in the fall of 2013 With the proximity of our locations all being 20 miles or less from surrounding states it gives Crowder an opportunity to offer very competitive programs to students at a reduced rate.  The opening of the McDonald County campus will allow for even more opportunities for students who might not have considered Crowder.

Potential growth in traditional classes will be impacted, but online classes may see be even more.  Based on current tuition rates the savings would be $29 per credit hour.  The waiving of out-of-state tuition is something the college had previously done for border state students through the College Connections scholarship.

Tuition for residents living within the Crowder district will still receive a discounted tuition rate of $77 per credit hour. In-District tuition is granted to people residing in the school districts of Neosho, McDonald County, Diamond, East Newton and Seneca.
