Frontenac restaurant a total loss in fire

Authorities say a fire that destroyed one of Frontenac's oldest and largest businesses was an accident.

Santino's Sports Bar and Eatery is a total loss.

Frontenac's fire chief says an officer patrolling the area early Friday morning discovered smoke coming out of the building.

The business was closed at the time and no one was inside.

Investigators determined the fire was accidentally caused by an electrical malfunction outside the kitchen area.
