Granby man accused of assault and torture

A Southwest Missouri man is charged with assault and rape after picking up a 65-year-old woman at a dance and abducting her.

The Granby, Missouri man is facing a total of six charges after he pulled a knife on the woman and tied her to her own bed.

According to the Newton County prosecutor Ricky Casteel, 56, sexually assaulted the victim and tortured her with a game of Russian Roulette using a gun from the woman's home.

Casteel is charged with first degree assault, forcible rape, forcible sodomy, domestic assault, felonious restraint and armed criminal action.

Authorities arrested Casteel on Friday.

He's held on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
