Crawford County schools to see more security

Updated:

Crawford County, Kansas students and their parents might notice a larger police presence at school.

The sheriff's departments says it's partnered with local police and school districts to add law enforcement at every school campus in the county - 20 buildings in all.

Sheriff Sandy Horton says no school has received any threats but he wanted to take the measure to reinforce safety measures already in place.

He says school and law enforcement officials will decide after the Christmas break whether to continue the additional security.
