Life in prison for Carthage man convicted in child pornography case

A Carthage, Missouri man is sentenced today to life in prison without parole for the sexual exploitation of a child.

Todd Smith, 41, was found guilty in August of using a minor to create child pornography.

Authorities were responding to a report that Smith had slapped a child when they found six videos on Smith's cell phone of him engaging in sexual acts with a minor.
