Pittsburg Church offers Christmas Meal

Updated:

Hundreds gather in Pittsburg for a community Christmas dinner.

Hot food, coffee, desserts and the company of others is why many attended the 3rd annual Christmas dinner at the Presbyterian Church of Pittsburg. About 800 attended the meal and about 100 volunteered.

It's the second year Mattye Foxx and Diana Lawson attended, they both say the food and company is nice on the holidays.

"well I'm by myself so to meet other people, meet my friends that are in the same situation I'm in" says Foxx.

"It's nice to be together , I mean its cold out there, but its nice to be together in a warm place" says Lawson.

The church plans to host the dinner again next year.
