Dunn's Retirement Party

Updated:

As newly-elected Sheriff Randee Kaiser is sworn in former Jasper County Sheriff Archie Dunn says goodbye.

Members of the community gathered today for Dunn's retirement celebration to show their appreciation.

Dunn says he enjoyed his time as Sheriff and plans to relax, but not to much.

"Oh, I'm looking forward to some time off," says Dunn. "Relax, let my hair down, well what hair I do have left, let it down. I got a lot of things at home to keep me busy. Work around the farm, I've got a seventy acre farm and I love being outside doing things, so I'll be busy for quite a while."

Dunn served as Jasper County Sheriff for more than nine years.
