As many of you look to spend the last few hours of 2012 with family, friends and food restaurants in Joplin say they have been preparing for this night for weeks.
New Years Eve is one of the busiest nights for places like Caldones and Mythos.
Preparing for a private party, Caldones says they expect to have around 70 people. But because the party was booked so far in advance they have had to turn other reservations away.
For Mythos, they plan to feature a menu of dishes they offered throughout the year.
The Greek restaurant says they are more than 90% booked but have had some cancellations because of weather conditions.
"People that are here in town still going to get out people that are driving a little further might not but there's a lot of calls that we usually end up not being able to accommodate so it just helps us accommodate them," says Damon Graud of Mythos Euro Greek Kuzina.
Both Mythos and Caldones say New Year's Eve is one of their busiest night of the year.
