Missouri drivers will see a difference in their drivers licenses starting this year.
The Missouri Department of Revenue says the new licenses will have extra security features the old one doesn't like special printing, laser perforations and bar codes.
The state says the changes are to fight identity theft and fraud.
Missouri will also begin issuing temporary licenses at licensing offices and drivers will get a permanent license in the mail 10 days later.
If you are under 21 you will receive a vertical license.
The Department of Revenue estimates the new licenses will be phased in by April at no extra cost.
