Joplin man pleads not guilty in stabbing - KOAM TV 7

Updated January 23, 2013:  A Four State man charged in a stabbing earlier this month has entered a not guilty plea.

Artilius Jordan, 42, is charged with first degree assault and armed criminal action.

He's accused of stabbing Stanley Watkins, 49, who is recovering from wounds.

In a court appearance today Jordan plead not guilty to the charges.

Jordan's next court appearance is scheduled for February 13.

Reported January 4, 2013:  A Four State man is arrested and charged with stabbing another man inside a Joplin apartment complex.

Early yesterday morning police were called to 809 South Pennsylvania Street.  That's where they found Stanley Watkins, 49, with several stab wounds to his torso.  He was taken to the hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Artilius Jordan, 42, lives in the same building and was arrested.  He is now charged with armed criminal action and criminal assault.  He's currently in the Jasper County jail held on a $10,000 bond.
