A missing dog being trained as a service dog was reunited today with her owner in Joplin after she went missing on New Years Eve.
Robin Zenter's dog, Layla, went missing on New Year's Eve after fireworks and another dog scared her off.
The eight month old brindle boxer is in training as a service dog. Robin had a heart transplant and the dog will learn how to get a cell phone if she falls or gets ill.
Layla was spotted early Monday morning in the woods behind Worden's Meat and with the help of Robin's husband and community members Layla came out of the woods and is now back home.
Robin told us she is very thankful for everyone's help in getting her much needed companion back.
