U.S. Bank and staff donates $22k to area United Way

Updated: Jan 9, 2013 04:17 PM CST

Today the United Way of Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas received $10,000 from the Joplin region U.S. Bank, as well as another $12,000 in contributions made by Joplin area U.S. Bank staff members.

"That's wonderful," says Bev Crespino-Graham, the Executive Director for the United Way of Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas.  "Here at United Way 100% of our employees give too.  We are also donors to United Way because we do believe that if we don't invest in our community than who will?  And so United Way is a great way to do that and make sure that your money goes to the best needed programs out there."

The bank says it's part of their commitment to giving back and supporting the United Way's mission.
