
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Rico Pierrevilus led four Pittsburg State players in double figures with 18 points as the Gorillas pulled away in the second half for an 85-63 victory over Lincoln Thursday (Jan. 10) at Jason Gym.
The Gorillas (11-2, 4-1 MIAA) shot 51.5 percent in the second half (17 of 33) to turn an eight-point halftime margin (38-30) into a double-digit margin.
Pierrevilus finished the game with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Courtney Ingram posted a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Ingram scored 12 of his 16 points in the first half.
JaVon McGee added 12 points and six rebounds, while Marky Nolen chipped in with 11 points for the Gorillas.
The Blue Tigers (2-13, 1-4 MIAA), who made just 21 of 65 shots in the game (.323) got a game-high 31 points from Cedric Ridle. Charles Cole also added 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Pitt State will continue a three-game road swing with a Saturday (Jan. 12) match-up against Central Missouri. Tipoff is set for 3:30 p.m. (CST) at the UCM Multipurpose Building.
