Update: Joplin Police are working a shooting near 12th and Geneva by south rangeline road.

Officers responded to a report of someone shot at a house at the location a little after 7 P.M. and found one person with a gunshot wound.

 The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Authorities including the crime scene command unit are on the scene and investigating.
