    The lives of Nikki and Phil Jacobs of Chanute, Kansas were changed when KU medical doctors told them their three-year-old daughter Raylin was not only autistic, but non-verbal. Several months later the couple started a support group for families dealing with autism to gather and to discuss their experiences.
