U.S. Bank held a ribbon cutting today in Joplin at 4th and Main to announce the business is expanding it's home mortgage department.
The department added another floor about a month ago.
Officials say the department started out with 10 permanent employees and expanded in just the past year.
Before this latest expansion the home mortgage department had 40 positions and currently the department says it has 21 permanent and 36 contract employees and plans to keep adding jobs.
"This seventh floor will double that number to 80 in total so it's a great announcement for our community," says U.S. Bank Regional President Clifford Wert.
"Lots of opportunity for the Joplin community and a lot of wonderful opportunity for U.S. Bank Home Mortgage and U.S. Bank," says Carrie Mason of the Home Mortgage Division of U.S. Bank.
