Get Fit Pitt program underway at Pittsburg gym

Updated:

A 10 week "Get Fit Pitt" program being sponsored by Girlfriends Gym on North Broadway in Pittsburg was off to a strong start last night.

The program is designed to help men and women make healthy lifestyle changes, while offering incentives to lose weight.

The program kicked off last night with the first official weigh in yesterday.

Gym owner Laura Samford says it's not about how much weight you lose, but making a better lifestyle for yourself.

"Everybody's an individual and there are different things that work for different people," says Samford.

Samford says even if you aren't enrolled in the Get Fit program everyone is welcome to make an active lifestyle change.
