Webb City men arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer

Three Webb City men have been arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer.

Douglas Humphrey, Dalton Humphrey, and Maximillian Humphrey were arrested Sunday after Webb City officers responded to a disturbance on the 500 block of West Broadway.

One suspect fled to a nearby home and when an officer went to that home authorities say the three suspects, along with a juvenile, assaulted him inside and another officer assisting was also assaulted inside the residence.

Both officers were treated at a local hospital and released.

All three men and the juvenile were arrested and charged with Class A Felony Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.

According to police the juvenile was charged through the Jasper County juvenile office.

    A Carthage, Missouri cheese plant has begun an expansion project that will bring jobs to the area. Schreiber Foods says the 29,000 foot expansion will add 160 jobs to the plant.
