Wyandotte schools closing due to high number of absences

A Northeast Oklahoma school district is canceling classes for two days to disinfect the buildings.

The Wyandotte superintendent tells us 21% of their student body are absent today because of flu-like symptoms.

The school district will cancel classes Thursday and Friday to give the janitorial staff the opportunity to disinfect every surface.

Officials wanted to give parents efficient time to make other arrangements.

We'll have more on this story later today.
