ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Missouri Western capitalized on a late surge to rally past Pittsburg State and claim a 70-65 victory Wednesday (Jan. 30) at the MWSU Fieldhouse.

The Griffons (13-6, 6-5 MIAA) used a 10-0 run to turn a 58-53 deficit with 5:32 remaining in the contest into a 63-58 lead with 1:12 to play and Western held off the Gorillas (12-6, 6-4 MIAA) down the stretch.

Lizzy Jeronimus scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Pitt State. Morgan Westhoff added 14 points and Drew Roberts added 11 points.
