Carthage man accused of exposing himself in Tulsa area is now in custody

Updated February 2, 2013 at 7:20 PM CST:  Jaime Hartness, 32 of Carthage, is now in custody.  Tulsa police say Hartness had been exposing himself and groping women outside of malls in the Tulsa area.

In a joint effort between the Jasper County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshal's Service, investigators had been on the lookout for Hartness after receiving a tip he was in the Carl Junction area this evening.

An officer saw the vehicle and recognized the license plate and pulled Hartness over near Loan Oak and Joplin Street in Carl Junction.

Posted February 1, 2013 at 12:37 PM CST:  Authorities are on the hunt for a registered sex offender from Carthage, Missouri.

Tulsa police say Jaime Hartness, 32 of Carthage, continues to expose himself and grope women outside of malls in the Tulsa area.

Hartness now has active warrants for four counts of sexual battery and three counts of indecent exposure.

Hartness was identified outside of the Woodland Hills Mall area in both Broken Arrow and Bixby, Oklahoma.
