Freeman Health System in Joplin has joined in on the spirit of National Pancake Day. They picked up their flippers today for their first Pancake Premiere.
All proceeds go to benefit area children with medical needs through Children's Miracle Network.
Tuesday is the official day to head to iHop for Nation Pancake Day, however, on Monday hospital staff cooked up pancakes for Freeman employees who won't be able to make it to iHop but still want to donate to the cause.
"It helps local children and I have one gentleman that tells me 'Edie, I don't give because I have sick children, I give because my children are healthy' and I think that's one of the best reasons I could give you for a reason to give a donation," says Edie Ingram, the Program Manager for the Miracle Network Hospitals.
On Tuesday iHop will serve free pancakes but inspire guests to donate in hopes of raising their goal of $3 million for Children's Miracle Network.
