Names released of two killed in Jasper County crash

Two people are dead after a truck and car collided at the intersection of Fir Road/HH and County Road 175 between Carthage and Webb City around 5:30 PM Wednesday.

Julie Cartwright, 48 of Joplin, and Brandon Stuckey, 22 of Belleville, Illinois, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol's crash report Stuckey's vehicle crossed the center line and struck Cartwright's vehicle head on.

MHP says Stuckey was wearing a safety restraint, while Cartwright was not.

Authorities say an infant riding in Cartwright's vehicle was wearing a safety restraint and was not injured. The infant was turned over to a relative.
