Pittsburg police are still searching for a suspect after a car chase last night

Pittsburg police are still searching for a suspect after a car chase last night.

The pursuit began after an officer tried to stop the car for a traffic violation around 7:45 p.m. at Rose and Broadway in Pittsburg.

The car sped away and police eventually stopped chasing the car because of the high rate of speed.

Later the Crawford County Sheriff's Department found the car and picked up the chase.

The car drove through a yard, hit a parked car at JFK Street, near the Highway 69 bypass and Hudson intersection, and the driver ran from the vehicle.
