Attention artists and performers - Joplin recruiting for Third Thursday

News release issued by the Downtown Joplin Alliance

Downtown Joplin Alliance is gearing up for the Sixth Season of Third Thursdays which run from March through October in historic Downtown Joplin.  Third Thursday is the largest arts and cultural event in the Four States region.  According to Trisha Patton, Executive Director of Downtown Joplin Alliance, "We have been working hard to make this event more cohesive and successful than years past.  We expect that you'll come out and love the event more than ever."

Downtown Joplin Alliance is currently recruiting artists and performers for the 2013 season. All entry guidelines can be found online at www.downtownjoplin.com.

For ARTISTS, please send three images (.jpg) of individual works as well as one image (.jpg) of a collection of work that is set up as if exhibiting in a gallery to thirdthursday@downtownjoplin.com.  Within one week, the Third Thursday committee will communicate if you are accepted.  After acceptance, you will receive an email link to pay the artist fee of $20 which goes towards the promotion of the Art Walk.  Scholarships are available.

For PERFORMERS, live auditions will be held on February 27 and June 26 from 8:30-9:30pm at the Kitchen Pass.  If you can not make one of the live auditions, send a link of your performance to thirdthursday@downtownjoplin.com no later than February 28.   Within one week, the Third Thursday committee will communicate if you are accepted.  After acceptance, you will receive an email link to pay the application fee of $20. Scholarships are available.
