College Goal Sunday

Updated:

No matter what college you plan on going to, every student is welcome for M.S.S.U.'s College Goal Sunday, also known as FAFSA Frenzy in the state of Missouri.

The universities financial aid department set up booths for those needing help filling out FAFSA applications. Director of financial aid Becca Diskin says it's important to apply for FAFSA early to get priority over the thousands that apply.

"We receive thousands of FAFSA applications each year and over 90% of our students here at Missouri southern receive some type of financial aid to go to school, it's about 80% that actually receive student loans so it's very important that every student planning to attend college, fill out the FAFSA just to see what they're eligible for and then they can make their decisions as they get closer to school starting" says Diskin.

For those that attended Missouri's FAFSA Frenzy, College Goal Sunday, 8 high school students will be chosen to win a $1 thousand dollar scholarship.
