Nationwide organization with location in Pittsburg celebrates 100 years

Updated:

A nationwide organization with a location in Pittsburg celebrates 100 years of service.

Music, dancing, balloons, and food were among the fun things offered at Mosaic on South Rouse Street near Via Christ Hospital.

Mosaic helps people who are mentally challenged, helping them find jobs and any other needs they have.  There are 129 clients at the Pittsburg location.

"They live in the moment," says Stephanie Webb of Pittsburg Mosaic.  "The individuals live in the moment and the moment right now is extremely happy and we're super excited to have them."

Mosaic has been in Pittsburg for about two years.

The organization is funded primarily through state money but workers say they are in need of donations.
