Empire Electric ready to take on any power outages

Empire District Electric says it's ready for the storm.  Poles and lines can break from crashes or the weight of ice-covered limbs but Empire says it has staff on call and extra supplies and poles on hand as a precaution.

The company tells customers not to worry and says their needs will be Empire's first priority.

"People don't have to be concerned if there are outages out there or if there are people without power, they will see those Empire trucks and know that Empire staff and personnel are out there making sure they are working as hard as they can to get their power restored as safely and as quickly as possible," says Emily Stanley of Empire Electric Company.

Empire also stresses the importance of customers being prepared as well.
