Both Missouri Southern and Pittsburg State closed their campuses today. Like most locations, the two were covered mainly in ice.
Pittsburg State maintenance crews were up bright and early on Thursday with shovels, scraping and salting the sidewalks and streets. Sweeper machines were also on campus helping to clear the ice so classes can resume tomorrow.
As of 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Pittsburg State planned to have classes on Friday. However, they say they will have a final decision by Friday at 6 a.m.
As of 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, Missouri Southern planned to resume classes on Friday as well.
