Enjoy your days off kids... some of you will have to make them up in May

Updated:

Sledding at Landreth Park was somewhat quiet today considering both Joplin and Carl Junction school districts had the day off.  Both school districts will have to make up the snow days missed at the end of the year.

Parent Karen Brock says that's ok with her considering her kids had a good time today.

"With the sun out it may be the last chance we have to enjoy a little snow and have a good day off with some snow," Brock says.  "Once it's all said and done the kids wont miss it a bit.  They would much rather give up and have an extra day at the end of the school year and get to do something like this."

Carl Junction kids will have to make up three days at the end of the year.

Joplin will have to make up two days.
